All of our classes are inside and are designed to instruct you on how to be a loving leader, a team coach and to teach your dog good manners. Regardless of what series of class instruction you are attending, the lessons are primarily for the you. We consider the owners to be our primary students.
Group classes generally run for five consecutive weeks and are held for an hour. All necessary training equipment needed for our style of training is included in the price of the classes. Numerous training styles will be introduced in every class, such as: positive reinforcement, bridge and targeting, cause and effect and other techniques.
TYPES OF CLASSES AVAILABLE
Level I: This is for students that have dogs 3 months or older and are current on their vaccinations. This class will cover numerous training techniques for the following situations: loving leadership - walking on a loose leash - sit stay - down stay - coming when called - coming in an emergency - boundary training - retrieve - leave it - focus - basic problem solving and much more!
Owners will be provided with the following training supplies:
15 ft training leash, 2 pocket size squirt bottles, 4 sound chains, a guide cable (for small puppies), a whistle, class literature and a ton of practical advice that you can start applying immediately!
Owners will need to bring: a leash, secure dog collar, some treats, a positive attitude and an open heart and mind.
Level II: This is for students that would like to prepare their dog to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen Award (CGC). This class is also for students who are striving to have their dog off leash.
We recommend that you complete the level I class before attending this class
Dogs need to have some basic manners and be good with other dogs. The class will cover numerous approaches for the following situations: team leadership - follow through - compliance - proofing - go to place and much more!
Owners will be provided with the following training supplies:
4 sound chains, a target stick and class literature
Owners need to bring:
a leash, a secure collar, small bath mat, a positive attitude, and an open heart and mind.
